For Horse-Crazy Girls Only: Everything You Want to Know About Horses by Christina Wilsdon is I gave this a four only because I thought that there would be colorful pictures inside or at least more images. I bought this for my seven-year-old niece who loves horses. Unfortunately, it was a bit above her reading level. I think it would best fit a 10-12 year old girl.

She reads a couple pages from this book everyday, I kid you not! She loves learning facts about stuff she is interested in and this book is packed with them in a fun, "9 year old girl" presentation. If your girl loves horses, buy this book!

She adores it, as does one of her best friends who's been riding for several years. Considering that she isn't into reading and books in general, I consider this a major win.

She was going to be attending a Pony Club in the very near future and I thought this might be a great idea for her to familiarize herself with horses and all that it implies. She started reading it right away and said that she liked it very much. She is now part of the Pony Club and says that the book did give her a start on many of the new things she is learning.Very happy with this purchase and would suggest it to anyone who has a Horse-Crazy (or even Horse-Interested) girl.
